Keren Hammerschlag is a Lecturer in Art History and Curatorship at the Australian National University. Her specialties are nineteenth-century British painting and Victorian anatomical illustration. She is the author of Frederic Leighton: Death, Mortality, Resurrection (Ashgate, 2015). Her current book project focuses on depictions of racial hybridity in Victorian painting.
