To bridge the unbridgeable gap between Right and Left in Israeli politics

Politics is always a messy affair, but the toxicity between Right and Left in Israel is quickly becoming a real threat to the country's stability. When the other side is "wrong" there can be a constructive debate, but when the other side is "evil", and must be stopped by any means, discourse itself can be destructive. The "Start Up Nation" has failed so far in finding a way out of the political entanglement that has been plaguing it for decades. This session will examine initial attempts to address this issue by Jewish philosopher Micah Goodman and moral psychologist Jonathan Haidt, who seek to transcend the current dichotomies of dysfunctional political debate.
